Food safety must be a high priority in every community due to the potentially devastating impact of food-borne illnesses. Local board members have a significant impact on the success of food safety programs within a community. With NALBOH’s assistance, board members have the ability to strengthen food safety programs by knowing why they are important, learning what makes a comprehensive and effective program, and fulfilling the board’s obligations to the program.
