Conference Goals and Objectives

Conference Goal:

The 2013 NALBOH Annual Conference is designed to provide attendees with information on public health governance functions, engaging citizens, and the role of effective leadership in healthy communities.

 

Conference Objectives:

  • Describe the association between the 10 Essential Public Health Services, the 3 Core Functions, and the Governance Functions for a strong board of health and health department relationship.
  • Identify evidence-based best practices for involving citizens in public health decision making.
  • Describe the role of board development for effective leaders in healthy communities.
