H. Scott Kroell, Jr., FACHE
Southeast Regional Director
Scott Kroell is the newly elected Southeast Regional Director on the NALBOH Board of Directors. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of a Joint Commission Accredited Critical Access Hospital, a 108-bed Long-term Care Facility, and a two-county Emergency Medical Service.
He received his Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, his Master of Health Administration from Georgia State University in Atlanta, and is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. He was active in the United States Navy Reserve and retired as a Captain after 28 years of service.
Mr. Kroell has a distinguished career, having served as an administrator of hospitals in California, Tennessee, and Georgia, including an Acute Psychiatric Facility. Major accomplishments in his current position include physician recruitment; development of new services; the design, construction, and relocation to a new hospital facility; the construction and operation of a 108-bed nursing home with a designated Alzheimer’s unit; and the development of a regional EMS system.
His work with local and district health organizations include collaboration on many projects including cardiovascular screenings, cancer grants, immunizations, well baby care, and other joint ventures with the public health community to improve the overall health and wellness in the communities in which they serve.
Mr. Kroell’s professional affiliations include Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, board member of the Southeast Georgia Cancer Coalition, vice chair of the Liberty County (GA) Board of Health, and board member of the Georgia Board of Nursing Home Administrators.
His civic involvement includes service as a member of the board of directors of The Heritage Bank, member of the Rotary Club of Hinesville and elder of Flemington Presbyterian Church.
