2016 Annual Conference - "That's a Wrap!"
The 2016 Conference came to a close Friday, August 12th after a great week of Board meetings, State Leadership meeting, Breakout Presentations, Tailgate and Conference Receptions, St. Louis Cardinals, State meetings, excellent keynote presentations, networking, and more! Thank you to all those who were able to make it to St. Louis, MO, this year. If you weren't, we hope to see you next year. News on the 2017 Conference will be coming soon.
NALBOH hopes that you left feeling recharged, energized and having more resources to do all you can to improve public health in your local community to improve our country as a whole! Also, a special thank you to 14 exhibitors that helped us to "Explore Our Role in Board Governance".

The NALBOH Board of Directors is excited to welcome new Board members which were announced at the 2016 Annual Meeting.
The Board Members who will officially begin their term January 1, 2017 are:

Webinar: Clearing the Clouds: Demystifying the Vape Shop Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016 Time: 2 p.m. Central Vape shops, or retail stores that specialize in e-cigarettes and related products, seem to be popping up everywhere. Although the total number of vape shops in the United States is unknown due to a current lack of regulatory and licensing policies, estimates range anywhere from 3,500 to 35,000 and growing. In this Consortium webinar, presenters will provide a summary of the most recent literature published on vape shops, discuss policy options for regulating them in light of the FDA’s new deeming rule, describe a new tool for conducting observational store assessments, and share a local case study.
