National Network of Libraries of Medicine Outreach Funding Opportunities
The National Network of Libraries of Medicine Greater Midwest Region has a number of funding opportunities available for outreach projects through the remainder of our 2016 fiscal year. Select projects can be funded up to $10,000 and must be completed by April 30, 2017 (funding for FY 2017 projects will open later this spring).

A few examples of previously awarded projects include:

·         Funds to purchase computer tablets to be used in public clinic waiting rooms to promote National Library of Medicine consumer health education

·         Funding for the development, testing, and printing of a train-the-trainer manual for an Access to Mental Health Literacy for Rural Pennsylvania Older Adults Pilot Program

·         Funding to conduct an assessment to help the Hispanic Access Foundation understand the needs and challenges of the public health service providers within the organization’s database as they seek to reach and serve Spanish-speaking Hispanics.

Funding projects should demonstrate support for the NN/LM’s mission: To advance the progress of medicine and improve the public health by providing all U.S. health professionals with equal access to biomedical information; and improving the public's access to information to enable them to make informed decisions about their health.
