Using the Materials

1. New board members should use these materials with the guidance of an experienced board member(s).Answers to the Study Guide are those offered from only the videotape. Additional answers may apply.
2. The Discussion Guide provides suggestions for topics and should be used as a tool to further the board's understanding of their role in assessment, policy development and assurance.

Video Training Materials

1. New board members should view the video using the Note Taking Page. After viewing the tape, new board members complete the Video Worksheet. See the Key for answers.
2. An experienced board members uses the Discussion Guide to talk about the role of their board of health.
