Association of Retired Persons (AARP)
"The
AARP provides direct information to aging members, particularly in consumer
advocacy, legal assistance, tax counseling, job training and placement, health
care and long term care information."

Society on Aging (ASA)
ASA offers educational programming, publications and state-of-the-art information
and training resources for professionals working in the field of aging.

Tai Chi Association
A National
non-profit organization dedicated to promote Tai Chi as a fitness and complementary
medicine in the United States. Tai Chi is an ancient martial art which can greatly
reduce risk of falls, stress, blood pressure, and relieve arthritis pain.

site contains information on grants/funding, home health, policy, local/state
information, and interest groups.

Health
Poll Search
Health Poll Search is a searchable archive of public opinion questions on health
issues that allows users to know what Americans think about health issues, as
well as what Americans have thought about health issues over time. Health Poll
Search is the result of a partnership between the Kaiser Family Foundation and
The Roper Center for Public Opinion Research at the University of Connecticut.
The Roper Center houses an archive of more than 350,000 public opinion questions
dating back to 1935. The
Health Poll Search archive covers 29 topics and more than 300 subtopics, and holds
more than 60,000 questions on health issues from health care surveys that have
included questions on health. These questions provide information on public perceptions
of HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, health policy and health reform, Medicare and
Medicaid, women's health, the uninsured, minority health, and children's health.
Response percentages and source information are provided for all questions.
National
Institute on Aging (NIA)
The NIA researches the biomedical, social and behavioral aspects of the aging
process; the prevention of age-related diseases and disabilities; and promotes
improved quality of life for older Americans.
New
England Research Institutes (NERI)
NERI is "one of the nation's leading health research organization."
The programs of the Institute include aging; children and families; women's
health, men's health and health services research.
Western
Reserve Geriatric Education Center (WRGEC)
The Western Reserve Geriatric Education Center is a consortium of nationally
recognized academic leaders in gerontology and geriatric medicine. The WRGEC's
mission is to improve health care for older adults by providing education, training,
and consultation to faculty, health care professionals and consumers throughout
the state of Ohio. The site contains links to additional gerontology and geriatric
