Mobilizing
for Action through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP)
MAPP is a web-based tool that "provides guidance, tools, references and
examples to assist communities in undertaking a community health improvement
process." In addition to information about the phases of MAPP, each step
includes a toolbox of interactive tools that help users learn about community
examples of MAPP in use.
National
Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO)
NACCHO "is a nonprofit membership organization serving all of the nearly
3,000 local health departments nationwide. NACCHO provides education, information,
research and technical assistance to local health departments and facilitates
partnerships among local, state, and federal agencies in order to promote and
strengthen public health." Their site contains links to NACCHO programs,
including community assessment tools such as APEXPH (Assessment Protocol
for Excellence in Public Health) and their new community health improvement
tool: Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnership (MAPP).
