Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC)
APIC members are professionals working in infection control and epidemiology. The site contains specific information regarding the threat of biological terrorism.

Biosafety Documents
This site contains links to CDC Biosafety publications, including HHS Regulations, guidelines, symposium proceedings and presentations, and satellite broadcasts.

Communicable Disease Prevention & Control (CDPC)
The CDPC "provides summaries and full text of communicable disease reports available on the Internet." The side includes links to current global, regional and country estimates and projections regarding HIV/AIDS incidence and prevalence.

Epidemiology Program Office
The Epidemiology Program Office contains links to public health surveillance, the Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS), training, and publications and software.

Health Information and Surveillance Systems Board (HISSB)
Established in 1995, HISSB's mission is "to determine the "formulation and enactment of policy concerning the planning, development, maintenance, and use of public health information and surveillance systems." The site details the efforts of the board to meet their mission.

National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NEDSS)
"NEDSS is an initiative that promotes the use of data and information system standards to advance the development of efficient, integrated, and interoperable surveillance systems at federal, state and local levels. This broad initiative is designed to: a) facilitate the electronic transfer of appropriate information from clinical information systems in the health care industry to public health departments; b) reduce provider burden in the provision of information; and c) enhance both the timeliness and quality of information provided.

Office of Biosafety - Canada
This site contains information on the Canadian program for biosafety and may provide a model for communities.
