Health policy center helping "public and private sector clients respond to health care challenges by providing the essential keys to policy-making: objective information, insightful analysis, and expert strategic planning and program management." The site contains links for state health policy, national programs and policy resources.

This report from the National Center for Health Statistics "documents difference in a wide-ranging set of health characteristics for people residing in communities from the most rural to the most urban.

Health Poll Search
Health Poll Search is a searchable archive of public opinion questions on health issues that allows users to know what Americans think about health issues, as well as what Americans have thought about health issues over time. Health Poll Search is the result of a partnership between the Kaiser Family Foundation and The Roper Center for Public Opinion Research at the University of Connecticut. The Roper Center houses an archive of more than 350,000 public opinion questions dating back to 1935.
The Health Poll Search archive covers 29 topics and more than 300 subtopics, and holds more than 60,000 questions on health issues from health care surveys that have included questions on health. These questions provide information on public perceptions of HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, health policy and health reform, Medicare and Medicaid, women's health, the uninsured, minority health, and children's health. Response percentages and source information are provided for all questions.

National City Government Resource Center (NCGRC)
The NCGRC site is a resource for links to nonprofit organizations, research institutes, think tanks and other associations related to city government. It does have links to state capitols as well as general city links.

National Health Information Center
This site is a health information referral service. The center puts health professionals and consumers who have health questions in touch with those organizations that are best able to provide answers.

National Science Foundation
NSF is "committed to the environment by developing standards, by providing education and by providing third-party conformity assessment services while representing the interest of all stakeholders." The site contains links to online newsletter, NSF publications, information for consumers, standards, and a searchable database of NSF certified products.

State Health Profile
This report from the CDC describes specific health status indicators for each state. It also presents some demographic information, prevention and control efforts and how CDC's funds are distributed throughout the country.
