Join presenters from NACCHO and NALBOH to learn more regarding the board of health profile released June 2016.  

This session will review the most up to date information on local board of health functions and characteristics. Findings provide an overview of the important role local boards of health play in our public health system, including how they serve as a link to local health departments by establishing health priorities, approving budgets, and overseeing local public health regulations. 

By the conclusion of this presentation, attendees will be able to:

·        Discuss the most common characteristics shared across boards nationally.

·        Review the recommendations identified through the 2016 of the Board of Health Profile. 

·        Identify NALBOH resources available to help board implement recommendations.
